Palgova or Palkova cubes is one of the desi sweets that kids love. It is originated from Indian Subcontinent. Also known as Maida Burfi in hindi, this is a healthier sweet as compared to the rest of the desi sweets. Kids really enjoy preparing palgova cubes. They are super easy to make and does not require much of an adult supervision except for the initial steps.
Palgova Cubes
Palgova or Palkova cubes is one of the desi sweets that kids love. They are easy to make and do not require much of a time.
Ingredients
- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- 2/4 cup Powdered Sugar
- 2 tbsp Milk Powder
- 0,5 cup Butter
Instructions
- Add half cup butter in a hot pan and add one cup flour in it
- Now mix it well on a low flame and make sure no lumps are formed
- Mix till the oil starts to release. As soon as the oil releases, switch off the stove and remove the pan.
- Cool it down. Once it is cooled down, add milk powder.
- Mix the milk powder well. You can use a spatula or simply your hands to mix it well.
- Now add 2/4 cup powdered sugar in this mixture and mix well without making any lumps. Again, you can use spatula or hands for proper mixing.
- Take a plastic or glass bowl, put in foil paper, and grease it will butter. A four-cornered box would be preferred.
- Put the palgova mixture in the box and then even the surface with a spoon.
- Once the surface is made even and smooth, put it in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
- After 15 minutes, take the foil paper out of the bowl and then remove the foil paper from palgova.
- Spread powdered sugar on the surface and then put the palgova on it. Now cut it in cubes.
